“JAPAYUKI”

“Entertainer sa japan, naku malamang p*k-p*k yan, maraming pera yan kasi may Papa sa japan yan!” That’s the usual thought ng mga tao once sinabing entertainer/ japayuki ka. But do we really know the real meaning of “ENTERTAINER/JAPAYUKI”?

When I was 17 years old, I really want to go to Japan as a singer or a dancer (because I can do both). I remember, nagpunta kami sa isang bahay nang entertainer for audition ko sana pa japan. Grabe! Her house was so big, like a mansion. Yes! Yumaman sya dahil sa pagjajapan. So andun nako for audition and YES tanggap ako. But sad to say I need to wait 4 years more so I can work in Japan. Naging mahigpit sa japan that time, although I can fake my documents but I decided not to do that.

Then after 9 years, yehey finally makakapagtrabaho na ako sa Japan! Dream ko talaga to e. May 24, 2017 ayan na lumapag na ako Japan. Pumasok ako sa isang may patay sindi na ilaw, but wait hindi ako marunong mag nihon-go, paano ko sila makakausap? Then lumapit yung babae sakin na akala ko japanese, pinay pala! Change your outfit you, your work will start today. Gulat ako agad agad.

Ngingiti ngiti lang kami dyan, pero ang totoo stress na po kami hehe.

So my first month was not good, akala ko kasi kakanta lang ako pero I also need to entertain the guest. In a way na uupo ka sa tabi o harapan niya, then magseserve nang alak, makikipag kwentuhan, kakantahan, sasayawan, at papasayahin sila. In short, kailangan alisin ang stress nila sa buhay. Hindi ako sanay sa gantong trabaho, but as time goes by ayun nasanay nako i handle ang mga hapon na my iba’t ibang personalidad.

Yes, mukang madali lang maging entertainer pero hindi pala. Kasi minsan may sarili ka ding stress sa buhay, pero kailangan mong magpasaya ng ibang tao. I worked for 1year and I can say that worth ang pagod, puyat at stress ko hahaha. Stress dahil ang hirap magpapunta ng guest para lang kumita ka every night, puyat because we need to work from 6pm (preparing sa work make up ganon, practice for showtime) until 3am minsan umaabot pa ng umaga around 6am, inom ng alak so you can bring out the best in you haha (but hindi lahat ng bar rules is uminom nang alak, it depends pa din sa entertainer, guest and rules ng bar ). Haayy kulang na lang magtumbling kami para hindi ma-boring ang guest. So, please don’t think bad sa mga entertainer sa japan dahil mahirap ang trabaho as an entertainer.

And now, I can say that I am happy living with my husband here in Japan.~ Shai Isaka
