Define… Explain… What is this???
There are things in this world that are really hard to explain. One of these is about dreams. But first, what is a dream? It is a noun word which means a series of thoughts, images, and sensations occurring in a person’s mind during sleep. Some people can remember their dreams after waking up, some can’t. There are most common types of dream. Daydream which i spend my time the most while doing some tasks (it’s not just me for sure during this). Studies reveal that the average person daydreams for a whopping 70-120 minutes of their waking day. Normal dream which is the standard dream. Nightmares which is the frightening one. Lastly, the LUCID DREAM. It is a dream in which the dreamer is aware that they are dreaming and may have an amount of control to it.
Growing up having lucid dreams..
I have been experiencing lucid dreams since I was just a kid. If I can still remember, I was only 7 when it started. It’s really surprising to me that some people actually need to learn it just to experience what lucid dream is like when I’ve been doing everything to avoid it. Most of my lucid dreams are not as good as what other says that it is really exciting or magical. I grew up scared of it.
Good lucid dreams…
The most common one is when you are actually flying in your dream and you are taking in control of it. The best feeling ever but not when you fall down and find yourself on the floor when you woke up. I also have lucid dream when I always go back to the same place. You suddenly wake up then go back to sleep and just continue from where your dream stopped. They are one of those lucid dreams that many might really wanted to experience. It feels like you have the power to control everything and do things that people don’t usually do. It can be so funny too (hence the photo :D).
My unpleasant lucid dreams…
It is possible to experience both sleep paralysis and lucid dreaming at the same time. According to studies they are both dissociated experiences related to rapid eye movement (REM) sleep. Scientific term can still be so confusing to me no matter how detailed it is especially when it doesn’t clearly explain what you’re experiencing. I can only simply describe it as unpleasant, devilish, scary dream. Lucid dream applies when I can actually choose to close my eyes for me not to see anything as for sure when I do, it would only show me spirits (good or bad), monsters, all creepy stuffs that no one would ever wanted to see (see photo). And there is sleep paralysis which is making it more frightening. You are shouting but nothing is coming out from your mouth. All you can do is pray so you could move anything in your body which is really tiring and almost out of your breath when you woke up. Science may have their explanations about this but it is still unclear to me why there are a lot of spiritual activities in my dreams which has been bothering me for a long time.
With all of these that are happening, there is just one thing that keeps me strong and fighting. It is my FAITH in GOD.
You may share your experience below. Happy lucid dreaming guys!
