How To Become a Better Person

Are you someone who wants to grow? Or do you constantly seek to improve yourself and become better? Becoming a better person means changing habits, taking some risk and thinking differently in the future. Becoming a better person is not just through skills but also improving our attitude toward others. Let’s get started and do some changes with our lives to a better person.

Nowadays, not just during this time of crisis some people are desperate to look for an option and some ways to improve themselves. But looking through it there is no shortcut in improving yourself. You need to find out what works for you, and what doesn’t. You cannot push through into something that doesn’t interest you most. Because at the end you’ll be just wasting a lot of time and effort. We need to be more practical, in finding out what are your interest in life. Does the things you want to know will help you to improve yourself on your current situation? You don’t need to spend a lot of money just to improve and make yourself better. On the other hand some people can hire a mentor or coach to teach them some new skills or knowledge like public speaking, becoming a good blogger, to become a better social media manager, to become a good leader or a good teacher, etc. But on your own you can learn too and make improvement by yourself. This is what most youngsters out there call it the generation of high technology, wherein everything can be found on a tip of your finger just by swiping your smart phones.

Furthermore, self learning is everywhere, on the internet, on books, seminars and other speaking engagements. It’s just up to you how will you start and where to start. Finding some ways to develop yourself is by reading a good book like motivational and inspirational or whatever interest you most. Some of the books I’ve read that motivates me are The Leadership 101, Jump Start Your Priorities, Keys to Successful Leadership. Books that can make an impact to your current situation. That will uplift your soul and start the day with a great vision for the future. Don’t limit yourself to every opportunity to learn new things. Learning is a continuous process. Because someday the skills that you learned, the nice words that you heard from a great leader or a great teacher can be use or apply in your own life or profession.

However, to add more improvement to be better is not just for your own self but also towards other people. Everything we say and or do has an effect to people whether it’s positive or negative. As humans we should practice how to be calm even in a worse situations. Remaining calm is powerful if used wisely, and just one step toward being a better person. Be considerate with the feelings of others, choose wisely the words you say, so not to hurt other feelings. Respect others opinion and respecting yourself as well is an add on to your personality development. No matter what your status in life, whether you are young or old, rich or poor, respect should be to be given to everyone or vise versa. Being kind helps us cultivate other qualities such as compassion, patience and love. Not only that, notice how you feel as you behave kindly to others. Chances are, you will feel even better than yourself.

Improving our self is not just about technical know how, it can also be within us on how we get along with the world around us. There are people of every generation not doing things that they love, so as early as now we must teach our children that they can even get better at things. Not just kids but the old generation is often seen as too old to learn, but they are not too rusty. Focus our mind on possibilities rather than deficiencies, use this time to reach out and discover your potential. Finding new things from the old to the new ones, will always make a difference and you will always discover something new. And finally, improving spiritual behavior like prayer, meditation, removing your thoughts from yourself and loving your fellow man can greatly improve who you are. Improving once self is not that easy but taking things one at a time will surely take you there. You’ll never know one day you already accomplish those improvement to become a better person.
