Yes, that is my reaction when my brother-inlaw informed us that my husband’s friend, committed suicide. He took his own life last April 22, 2019. While everyone was terrified after the earthquake, here we are, received this shocking news. I also ask my brother in law who’s? for the third time.
He is a jolly person, you can’t also notice if he has a problem. He never told about us his situation about his depression. This is the reason why I can’t believe that it is him.
We missed his loud laughs, his jokes, his nonsense story, his dance steps (he is a dancer by the way) his voice when he sings (ouch to the ears) his story about his mom, he loves his mother very much, actually, he has a tattoo on his chest “when I’m gone please take care of my mom”.
We blame ourselves for what happened. We have a lot of ‘what-ifs’ and ‘only if we knew’.
HEY YOU! YES, YOU! Even if we’re not close or we’re not a friend. You can call me or message me, willing to listen and pray for you. Remember that God is with us always and there’s a lot of people who love you. Just look around and pray.
Deuteronomy 31:8 And the LORD, he it is that does go before you; he will be with you, he will not fail you, neither forsake you: fear not, neither be dismayed.
