Do you feel unhappy?
Do you feel frustrated?
Do you feel upset when you cannot get what you want?
Do you feel alone with no one to turn to that you end up crying, wanting to take the situation in your own hands, and beginning to forget about your faith and how much God loves you?
Relax, take a back seat for a while, and rest. Below are some tips that will help you live a happy and healthy life.
𝟏. Stop worrying, God is in TOTAL control.
Philippians 4-6:7 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
The enemy is harassing our minds. It tries to fill us with negative thoughts, such that there won’t be any room for us to think about how much God loves us. We can become stronger than the enemy and overcome it if we grow in our relationship with God.
𝟐. Think right. Let your mind be your best friend.
Remember that what we feed in our minds is what we become. So guard your thoughts very carefully. Be cautious of how you think as you try to gain a better understanding of life. Dwell on things that are worthy of praise.
3. Practice Compassion.
Even if we are not feeling positive, we can show compassion by simply accepting each other’s uniqueness. Yes, including your own. Each of us has our own strengths and weaknesses. Resist the urge to judge and try to be more understanding.
4. Make prayer a HABIT.
We are all given a way to communicate with a God who knows us more than we know ourselves. A God who provides us with all our needs. A God who hears our hearts’ desires before we could even utter them. Make prayer a habit to talk to God any time of the day.
Trying to live a happy life is not very easy, specially that we are surrounded by a lot of stressors and negativity… but it is not impossible. Keep on trying and I will be with you in thoughts and prayer.
