MY TOP 5 FAVORITE DELICACIES IN CEBU

It’s A norm in the Philippine culture to bring “PASALUBONG” when travelling. For some of us,we just want to have something to munch while on the road.

Everytime i went to Cebu i bought pasalubong for my family.

Here’s my top 5 most favorite delicacies;

1.CHICHARON FROM CARCAR

One distinctive feature of the chicharon from carcar is the meat that comes with each piece.This variety of chicharon can be eaten either on it’s own with vinegar or it can be eaten with rice for a regular meal.

2.HOPIA

One of my favorite snacks because of it’s delight . It is a bean-filled moon-cake pastry originally introduced by fujianese centuries Ago.

3.PEANUT RICE BALLS

It is made of glutinous rice with  sweet peanut paste filling. It is very delicious and affordable.

4.OTAP

It is an oval -shaped puff pastry that is about four to six inches long and about two inches wide.the crumpled look of the otap is what makes it very fragile and easy to break into bits of pieces when you bite it.

5.DRIED MANGOS

This is probably the most popular and most loved,delicacy in cebu.Dried mangoes are bits of ripe mangoes that were dried out under the sun.Their  chewy texture and sweet taste make dried mangoes so addictive.

BEST FOR SNACKS, MERIENDA AND OF COURSE PASALUBONG.
