Getting fatter. Oh no! 😭😱
As the days and months went by I became fatter. I’m even more depressed when I look in the mirror I feel disgusted, I lose my self-confidence, I’m ashamed to face my friends even hubby’s friends. My husband is working at Starbucks at that time, of course, the girls there are beautiful so I am so paranoid that he might like someone else. Insecurities are killing me softly. It also reached to the point that we were already fighting over that. It’s also hard to wear clothes you like because they don’t fit for you. Even my hubby always tells me “bhe you’re getting fatter please be healthy for our children and for yourself.” Whenever he says that I am really upset. I also asked my self if it is really important to lose weight? Then I looked in the mirror looking at myself I realized that yes it is really important so I decided to lose weight. I promised myself that I’ll lose all the weight and gain back my confidence.

While searching on Facebook on how to lose weight I found this Low Carb Intermittent Fasting Group created by Dave Aguila (https://www.facebook.com/groups/lcifph/).
I joined and at first, I am a silent reader in their group, I was so amazed at the transformation of the members doing the Low Carb diet. Until one day I decided to do a Low Carb diet. I started my journey in LC diet in April 2018 up to now. I was 64kls. when I started Low Carb and Intermittent Fasting my goal weight is 46-50kls. From high-carb to low-carb was not easy for me, I just slowly remove rice, bread, pasta, potato, and other sugar-based food. Until I totally don’t eat rice and form of high carbs. I did fasting 16 hours and eat within the 8 hour period. Two meals a day still in low carb approved food. I enjoyed drink bullet coffee/chocolate and lots of water. I also did exercising 4 times a week. I am blessed because my family supports me especially my husband. Even my husband switch to Low Carb diet. During my journey I experienced adjustment in my body, I experienced headache, nausea, and hair fall oopps! don’t panic its just part of your body’s adjustment they called it “Keto Flu” later I’ll discuss how to deal with it. (wow! sosyal coach ang peg hahhaa😂).

After 5 months of doing LCIF way of eating from 64kls. I achieved my weight goal which is 46kls. I am so happy with the results, my friends also amazed. They keep on asking me what I did to lose weight, of course, I shared my secret. Oh! I forgot doing LCIF WOE was so amazing you know why? Because it will teach you how to be a Chef 🙂 you will discover many recipes that will amaze you. I can manage my cravings of sweets and my other favorite high carbs food now. Low Carb diet will give you amazing result not just losing weight but also it will give you a benefits to your health.

Intermittent fasting is an eating pattern where you cycle between periods of eating and fasting.Most people already “fast” every day, while they sleep. Intermittent fasting can be as simple as extending that fast a little longer.
You can do this by skipping breakfast, eating your first meal at noon and your last meal at 8 pm.
Then you’re technically fasting for 16 hours every day, and restricting your eating to an 8-hour eating window. This is the most popular form of intermittent fasting, known as the 16/8 method.
No food is allowed during the fasting period, but you can drink water, coffee, tea, and other non-caloric beverages. Taking supplements is generally allowed while fasting, as long as there are no calories in them.

Water is perfect, and so is coffee or tea. Preferably use no sweeteners. Sugar-free carbonated beverages, like sparkling water. A modest amount of milk or cream is OK in coffee or tea (but beware of cafe latte!) BEER (Hard drinks or wines with at least 14% alcohol is fine too.
📌Not everything on the list is what you need to eat. Just choose your type of food to enjoy your new “way of eating” (WOE). Also, NOT all LOW-CARB FOOD can eat unlimited. Remember, consuming too much is not good. So eat when you’re hungry, stop when you’re full.

Alright! That’s how I fought my depression in weight gain after pregnancy. Depression can cause you to fall off the wagon pretty quickly and it can often be extremely frustrating. My advice is to deal with your depression to make losing weight less of a struggle. Getting fit can take some time depending on how far away from your goal you are. There’s no shortcut. It takes time and effort, just trust the process. When it comes to long term type of goals, what you need more than anything else, is a strong purpose. Why do you want to lose weight? Push yourself beyond your limits and you’ll be surprised what your body can do. Not everyone is motivated by the same things. Use whatever works best for you. Reward yourself for taking action. Believe in yourself ’cause if you don’t, no one else will. Focus on being healthy instead of losing weight. Being healthy is one of the best gifts you can give not just to yourself but also to your family and especially to God. Stop making excuses. Do it now! Remember! A fit, healthy body that is the best fashion statement.
Discipline is the key nothing is impossible and I can say that I made it and I’m proud and happy. I achieved my weight goal now sometimes I did cheating 🙂 but it’s not advisable. As of now, my weight is 50kls. I maintained this weight because my family told me that “muka daw akong nasubhan pag 46kls. ako😂” so I decided to make 50kls. “mas bagay daw sakin”.
Low Carb and Intermittent Fasting is not only for weight loss actually it’s a plus that it’s effect is to lose weight. This method teaches us to live long and healthy. No more insecurities, changes start to yourself so the result will agree to what you want there’s nothing impossible when you really want changes. Focus on your goal, have patience and trust the process.
