My Simple Skin Care Routine Tips

Glowing skin is a result of proper skin care. It means you can wear less make up and let skin shine through.

And with this view, it is already an achievement to me for maintaining an acne-free skin!

As mothers, we have multiple tasks to fulfill such as preparing meals for our children, supervising their homework, and making sure their needs are met. We may also need to handle domestic chores, face our clients, meet work datelines as well as mange the household finance. It is no wonder that many mothers experience overwhelm. And should the relationships with our spouse be difficult, stress can hit a high.

“Investing early in the health of your skin, with regular skin care, will not only better protect it from the harsh effects of winter, but also keep you looking and feeling your best throughout the year,” says Steven Nwe, DO

These Skin Care routine I’ll be sharing is as simple as possible : minimum time consuming, few rules to follow and you should be doing every day..

  • Use a Gentle Daily Cleanser

From the moment you wake up to the moment you go to sleep, your skin takes a major beating. Exposure to harmful UV rays pollution and from routine activity both damage and age the skin. A common benefit of facial cleansing is the removal of dirt, oil, and other unwanted debris. Throughout the day the skin on your face is continually covered with bacteria, pollutants, viruses, dirt, and old (dead) skin cells. Daily facial washing removes these impurities to give the skin a fresh look.

  • Always wear Sunscreen

Sunscreen protects every skin type. If you have a darker complexion, the melanin in your skin confers some natural protection from sunburns, but you still need protection from harmful ultraviolet rays. … The American Academy of Dermatology recommends that EVERYONE wear sunscreen daily for the safety of their skin.

  • Exfoliate Occasionally, Not Every Day

Why is exfoliating every day bad for the skin? “Exfoliating every day can strip the skin of its natural oils, which can cause breakouts,” says celebrity facialist Joanna Vargas. “It can also cause irritation because you’re removing the top layer of skin before it can heal.”

  • Add an Anti-Aging Product

Adding the first three steps here is necessary for establishing and maintaining healthy skin. However, to optimize even the simplest skincare routine, include an anti-aging product to help prevent wear and tear generated by environmental aggressors.

  • Don’t Overthink It

Skincare is supposed to be fun, so don’t let yourself get stressed out by all the beauty noise. The basics of good skincare remain the same. Plus, once you feel comfortable in your current routine, you can always add something new.
